Collection: Les Harfangs
Les Harfangs is a collection inspired by the silent flight of the snowy owl and by the relationship between discovery and creation.
A sculpture reveals itself gradually. As the collector studies the stone, new details emerge: the movement held within the wings, the subtle transitions of texture and light, the natural patterns hidden beneath the surface, and the countless decisions preserved within the craftsmanship. The longer it is observed, the more it reveals.
The sculptor experiences a similar journey, but in reverse.
With each cut, refinement, and polished surface, the bird becomes increasingly visible. What begins as raw stone slowly transforms into form, motion, and character. The process is one of anticipation, guided by the belief that something beautiful already exists within the stone, waiting to be uncovered.
In this way, the finished sculpture is more than an object. It marks the end of one journey and the beginning of another. The sculptor experiences the excitement of creation; the collector experiences the excitement of discovery.
Both become absorbed by the same bird, simply at different moments in its life.
