Souffle du Nord
Souffle du Nord
Souffle du Nord is an original sculpture from the Les Harfangs series and is part of the Collection Boréale.
Carried by the cold winds that sweep across the northern wilderness, the snowy owl appears to glide effortlessly above landscapes shaped by snow and time. Souffle du Nord evokes the invisible force that accompanies the bird on its journey and connects the distant horizons of the Far North.
The delicate shades of pale green, silver-grey, and ivory found within the stone recall the subtle colors of northern tundra beneath a winter sky. The natural variations of the material evoke the movement of wind across the snow, creating a rich interplay of textures that gives the sculpture a sense of lightness and fluidity.
Its broad, outstretched wings convey a calm and perfectly controlled motion. The elongated silhouette of the snowy owl seems suspended on air currents, captured in a moment where effort gives way to grace. The bird becomes a symbol of freedom, balance, and harmony with the vast landscapes that surround it.
This sculpture celebrates the beauty of boreal landscapes and the timeless elegance of the snowy owl, a silent traveler of the northern territories.
